MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (MCA)- DON BOSCO UNIVERSITY

Minimum Eligibility Criteria
Graduation (10+2+3) in any stream with a minimum of 50% of the aggregate marks
Pass marks in Mathematics or equivalent at the +2 or graduation level
Candidates must appear for an entrance test - Assam Don Bosco University Post Graduate EntranceTest (DBU-PGET) for MCA and a personal interview
Provisional Admission: Applicants who have not yet obtained their Bachelor's degree also may apply for admission. Such candidates would be offered provisional admission until they furnish evidence of fulfilling the eligibility criterion stated in (1) and (2) above within 3 months of the commencement of the programme.

Admission Procedure
1. Copies of the prospectus are available from Assam Don Bosco University, Azara – Guwahati, select branches of the Axis Bank, and at Don Bosco College Tura, Don BoscoCollege Maram, Don Bosco Schools at Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Tezpur, Barpeta, Kokrajhar, Silchar, Agartala, Dimapur, Kohima and Imphal, Don Bosco Technical School Shillong, Don Bosco Youth Centre Itanagar and St. Pauls HS School - Aizawl. You may also obtain the prospectus by post or purchase it online at www.dbu.edu.in

2. Visit the online application page of the Assam Don Bosco University website (www.dbu.edu.in), follow the instructions given, use the Application Number and Activation Key (password) provided to you to access the application form and enter the required information.
If you are applying before the results of the qualifying examinations, you must visit the same site later and enter the required marks.
It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that marks are entered correctly.
3. Admission will be given on the basis of merit, with weightages given to the marks secured at the qualifying examination, for the marks obtained at DBU-PGET and performance at the personal interview. Procedure for admission and last dates for paymentof fees will be published on the notice boards andthe website of the university.
4. Fees are to be paid at the Offices of DonBosco College of Engineering and Technology, Azara. All effort will be made to facilitate bankloans for candidates desiring to avail this facility. Regardless of the sanctioning of bank loans, the fees mustbe paid by due dates.
5. At the time of the interview the candidates must produce
• Originals of mark sheets for verification. Any discrepancy with the data uploaded on the application site will automatically disqualify a candidate for admission
• Proof of date of birth
• Caste/Tribe/Community certificate if applicable
• Student health form, duly filled in.

 Seats and Reservation of Seats
60 seats are available for the programme
The applicable guidelines of the State Government on reservations are followed.
10% of the seats are reserved for candidates from church related institutions and 20% of the seats are reserved for candidates from the Christian minority community.
The minimum eligibility criteria are applicable to all categories.


The Don Bosco UniversityPost Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-PGET)
Assam Don Bosco University conducts entrance tests for admission into its Post Graduate Programmes –
DBU-PGET. Admission into the MCA Programme is only through DBU-PGET for MCA.
